Jewish Community Center All-In Swim Instructors: Teaching those with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Chicago, Illinois
The Jewish Community Centers of Chicago (JCC Chicago) works to ensure a vibrant and thriving Chicago through meaningful and impactful programs inspired by Jewish values. Founded in 1903, JCC Chicago was established as a gathering place for new immigrants to fill their lives with culture, language, and connection. Today, JCC Chicago is proud to welcome people of all ages, faiths, backgrounds and abilities, providing educational, recreational, social and cultural programming to the community. Last year alone, JCC Chicago impacted more than 35,000 children, teens, and adults throughout the greater metropolitan Chicago area.
For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), JCC Chicago has created the All-In Swim Program, designed to teach water safety and swim skills in a comfortable, supportive environment. Our certified instructors use the proven SwimRight? method as the basis for a unique curriculum that focuses on valuable life-saving techniques, recreational swim therapy, and increased independence and self-esteem.
All-In Swim Instructors teach those with special abilities and with a variety of ages and skill levels while bringing fun and excitement using the SwimRight? Method, part of the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy and All-In Swim curriculum. Lessons are provided to children with special abilities.
