We are seeking an experienced Analyst/Senior Analyst who enjoys solving analytical and empirical problems and has exceptional creative and critical thinking skills for an immediate fulltime opening in our Chicago, IL office. The group offering this position does work in the antitrust, securities and finance areas. Past projects have involved alleged manipulation of commodities or other markets, valuation and damages analyses, insurance industry work and antitrust litigation.

Your responsibilities may include designing and building quantitative and valuation models and applying econometric analysis to economic and financial data (time series and cross sectional); reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing financial statements, industry trends and competitor and academic research; creating trial exhibits and presentation materials; drafting memos and expert reports; managing large data sets, including data sets from client data systems: writing programs to implement complex analyses using such data; and participating in client meeting and conference calls.

nQualifications:n

As a qualified candidate, you should have a BA/BS degree in economics, finance, statistics or other related field and 2-4 years of professional work experience. Qualified candidates would enjoy solving analytical and empirical problems and have exceptional creative and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent oral and written communications skills. Those with coursework and/or experience in economics/regression analysis, finance, valuation models, accounting, and the ability to use statistical software, such as SAS or STATA are more desirable. Master's degree and/or progress towards obtaining a Chartered Financial Analyst certification is a plus.
