Aetna's Medicare Group Retiree Benefits Team is hiring a Medicare Account Director.

Preferred locations for Account Directors will be West Coast and Centrally located in the US. West (CO, AZ, CA) Midwest (IL, OH, MN, PA) East (PA, NY, NJ )

Wiling to consider candidates based on location and option to work from home full time. Must be near a Aetna office.

The role of the Medicare Account Director is to develop a pipeline of new and existing business cases that have growth opportunity. To develop and maintain business relationships internally and externally with existing clients. Serve as a Medicare subject matter expert and retain business for Aetna Group Retiree products and services in support of profitable growth and other business objectives.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Develops and executes effective account management strategy for larger, more complex accounts to meet profitable growth and cross-selling opportunities

(*) 60% of the time will be spent in developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts. Maximizing all in group growth opportunity, developing and executing on retention strategy as a senior strategic business partner to attain profitability and membership objectives

(*) Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with internal partners (underwriting, plan sponsor services, medical management, etc.)

(*) Works with clients to make certain that any changes are address within the context of their business needs and employee benefits strategy


(*) 8-10 years industry or customer service experience

(*) Experience with Medicare, sales and products is highly desired and will be preferred

(*) Experience with developing and executing sales strategy

(*) Demonstrated ability to develop relationships

(*) High level of professionalism, communication and presentation skills

(*) Sales License


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
