Job Description Details:
Under direct supervision of the Office Manager, the registrar is charged with the responsibility of collecting patient information to complete the registration process, accurately documenting payments received from patients, and scheduling patient appointments. In addition, the registrar provides key clerical functions including: reception, promptly answering telephone calls and responds to voicemail messages in a professional manner per established protocols while maintaining the highest level of customer service. The registrar’s position requires independent decision-making, time management skills, flexibility and collaboration with a multidisciplinary professional staff, other hospital departments and external agencies.
High School Diploma required.
Two years of college in general business field or technical school related to the medical field or equivalent experience required.
Previous customer service experience required.
