Collects and processes blood specimens for testing.
Draws and collects blood samples. Verifies records.
Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
Maintains supplies and equipment.
May assist with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.
Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
HS or Equivalent
High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of a phlebotomy course preferred
- Previous hospital-based phlebotomy experience preferred. Phlebotomy certificate or ASCP Certification preferred. Experience with CERNER would be helpful. Excellent customer service and communication skills required.5:00am-1:30pm in phlebotomy and 7:30am-4:00pm in pathology assistant/sendouts. Four weekdays each week and every other weekend.
