Finance and Accounting Leadership Development (FALD) Program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the company and the role finance plays here. Started in 1975, the FALD has helped develop many of the finance and accounting leaders currently in the company. In this three-year program, you will have an opportunity to rotate through various finance and accounting roles that support areas within the company such as Manufacturing, Corporate Finance, Purchasing & Logistics, Product Development, Service Parts, and Sales & Distribution. Besides the broad overview of company operations, these rotations will give you an opportunity to make a favorable impact on Navistar's business.
There are various rotation tracks in the FALD program, designed to provide hands-on experience and to build your skill sets in the areas of accounting, financial and operational analysis. The rotation tracks typically consist of three 12-month rotations, two at the Lisle, IL headquarters and one plant assignment that may require relocation. All assignments are dependent on the needs of the business and the program. The 12-month rotations are designed to provide exposure to the full planning cycle and experience the changing needs of the business over the course of a year. The program also provides executive and peer mentorship throughout the rotations. These various experiences and resources will prepare you for a higher position within Accounting and Finance by developing your analytical skills and expanding your knowledge of the company.

Over the course of the program, FALD associates will be exposed to a broad array of experiences and skills sets, including, but not limited to:
Accounting Systems and Processes
Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
Operations and Cost Analysis
Consolidation and Reporting of Business Results
Production Scheduling and Plant Accounting
Standard Cost Setting and Variance Analysis
Product Value and Analysis
Customer Profitability and Truck Pricing
Sales Policies, Processes, and Markets
The FALD program is designed to identify and develop candidates for the Finance and Accounting organization. It is recognized that, while Associates cannot receive identical experiences, all Associates are offered similar work rotations, formal training, and assignment to a sponsor who will oversee their development. Common elements of the program include work rotations in a variety of settings, including manufacturing, product development, sales, and/or corporate finance and accounting; seminars and formal training classes; structured selection and evaluation process.
- Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years of finance/accounting experience
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
