What you’ll be doing...

The Business Development Representative is responsible for proactive outbound prospecting, qualifying and lead management, focusing on the acquisition of new accounts with companies havingenterprise-sized fleets and meeting assigned activity in order to meet unit/performance goals. The goal of a Business Development Representative is to conduct research on potential clients, validating and qualifying a lead through opportunity discovery, set an appointment (on-site, web presentation or telephone call) and partner with Sales Representative until a quote is delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify targeted companies and build consensus through engaging C-level stakeholders with corporations having 1000 or more vehicle fleets.

  • Create leads through research, outbound calls and follow up on inbound leads generated through marketing activity.

  • Work with sales management and prospects to develop a business case leading to our solution and present the potential return on investment.

  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets; stay in contact with the prospective client for as many calls as it takes to secure a meeting or appointment.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the market as it evolves; monitor competitive activity and tailor sales messages in order to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, products and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

What we’re looking for...

  • 5+ years in high activity business to business sales environment calling on C-level executives and participating in a long sales cycle process

  • 2+ yearsof phone sales and generating leads, calling on C-level executives within large organizations (Fortune 500, 1000)

  • Experience selling software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions and/or experience in the mobile resource management market preferred

  • Challenger sales process experience preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office Suite; CRM (Salesforce.com preferred)

  • Experience with business ROI and operating expense management

  • C-level communication skills

  • Strong time management and presentation skills

  • High level of business acumen
