As a Big Data & Analytics Cloud Consultant, you will work directly with Google’s most strategic customers on critical projects to help them transform their businesses. You will provide management, consulting and technical expertise to customer engagements while working with client executives and key technical leaders to deploy solutions via Google’s Cloud Platform. You will also work closely with key Google partners currently servicing top accounts to manage programs, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice expertise.

You possess a diverse background with cloud solutions in areas such as architecture design, infrastructure migration, and deployment strategies. To be successful, you know how to navigate ambiguity, have extensive experience working with cloud technologies, have technical depth and enjoy working with client executives. You also possess excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Interact with sales/partner leads and technical stakeholders to translate complex customer requirements into recommendations for appropriate solution architectures and consulting services.
  • Provide a point of escalation for customer inquiries and serve as the first point of contact to Google for consulting services.
  • Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful migrations to cloud solutions.
  • Work closely with practice areas, product and engineering to package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies and published assets.
  • Understand customer needs and help shape Google’s long term product strategy. Be an advocate of Google’s “product innovation story”.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a Technical or Engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience designing and deploying large scale distributed data processing systems with one or more technologies (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, HBase, Redis, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, fluentd, etc).
  • 10 years of experience reading software code in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in systems design, with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and methods available.
  • Experience architecting, developing and/or maintaining production-grade cloud solutions in virtualized environments such as Amazon Web Services, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and customer base.
  • Effective cross-functional project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
