Summary :

The Portfolio Analytics Associate is a member of our Global Client Portfolio Analytics (GCPA) team and is directly aligned with Neuberger Berman’s Global Non-Investment Grade Credit Portfolio Management team. The Non-Investment Grade Credit platform manages over $43 billion and is supported by one of the largest teams in the industry.

This position provides direct support to the assigned portfolio management and institutional client teams and is responsible for compiling strategy, portfolio and market specific materials including (but not limited to) pitch books, factsheets, market reports and commentary, bespoke institutional client exhibits, portfolio/product analytics, and portfolio review materials. Additionally, the GCPA associate closely partners with key stakeholders including Sales, Global Marketing, and RFP as a first point of contact on all funds, strategy, and product related inquires.


  • Understand Neuberger Berman's Non-Investment Grade Credit investment capabilities with requisite depth to be able to develop and manage the platform’s intellectual capital materials including pitch books, commentary, and client portfolio reviews/reports

  • Write bespoke portfolio and market-level commentary for clients, assisting portfolio managers and client service in answering client-related questions on overall performance, positioning, and outlook

  • Project manage the creation of key marketing and client materials on a regular basis; liaise regularly with legal, compliance, sales and other key stakeholders to ensure materials are approved for distribution

  • Conduct thorough client meeting preparation with the portfolio management, client service, and sales team(s)

  • Assist in the development of portfolio and product related exhibits for the Non-Investment Grade Credit suite of strategies; assist in the research and publication of white papers and presentations on prominent market events

  • Liaise with the portfolio management team on managing and executing ad-hoc projects


  • 3+ years post-graduate experience in asset management with experience in fixed income products and strategies; presentations experience (marketing capacity) a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Science, Math preferred; CFA or desire of CFA strongly preferred

  • Introductory level of knowledge of non-investment grade fixed income products preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Accountable with excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize work within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
