Responsible for the technical aspect of the daily operations in the Nuclear PharmacyDescriptionProcessing of orders into the computer systemParticipate in the Quality Assurance Program and assure compliance with compounding sterile preparation regulations/guidelines (USP <797>)Preparing of sterile radiopharmaceutical products in accordance with established policies and procedures specified by the Nuclear PharmacistPerform quality assurance testing of instrumentationPerform quality control testing of radiopharmaceuticalsPrepare products for delivery, including surveying, packaging, wrapping and completing necessary DOT paperwork, shipment labeling and bill of ladingPerform area monitoring (wipes/surveys) using appropriate instrumentationProcessing of returned delivery cases and unit dose containersReceive packages with proper documentationParticipate in and assure compliance with proper RAM waste disposal and decay-in-storageRestock inventory as neededParticipate in processing internal billing to ancillary sitesMaintain the organization and cleanliness of the radiopharmacy hot labMaintain safe work environment and assure equipment is in proper working orderParticipate in a variety of meetings to integrate activities, communicate issues, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, policies, procedures and requirementsParticipate in teaching/training staff and Nuclear Medicine Students in the Nuclear PharmacyHours: 3:30am- 12pm Required:High School DiplomaIL State Pharmacy Technician license must be obtain within first 6-months of hirePrevious experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianPassing of Internal Radiopharmacy Training Program Preferred:Experience as a Nuclear Pharmacy Technician or Nuclear Medicine TechnologistCertified Pharmacy Technician preferredCompletion of a Technician Training ProgramNorthwestern Medicine is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability or sexual orientation.
