Job Description

Prepare and complete federal/state/international income tax returns and reports involved with federal, state, local, and other tax liabilities. Assist in tax audits. Conduct tax research and planning as requested. Exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks as work is sometimes performed under minimal daily supervision. Manage time and competing projects while receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed.

Responsibilities:Preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns, as well as various other tax filings

  • Research various tax issues

  • Work in an efficient manner in order to meet all deadlines and budget timelines

  • Provide assistance with the ASC 740 provision projects, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, tax audits as requested

  • Properly complete in a timely manner multiple projects

  • Demonstrate initiative, be hard working, be a self-starter

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Maintain work product in an organized manner

  • Maintain strong computer skills to enhance the efficiency of projects and maintenance of tax data

2) Should be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately with guidance. Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at a level of detail required to resolve issues with assistance.

3) Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office software, or other technical tools in completing assignments. Demonstrate knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.

4) Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.

5) Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
