Our client, a leader in packaging choice and sustainability, is looking for a full time Traffic Clerk for one of their Chicago locations. This person will be responsible for proactively maintaining customer shipment transactions to ensure timely and accurate product delivery and freight invoicing to customers. These transactions are time sensitive and must be entered in an efficient and accurate manner, enabling the client to provide accurate information to the customer service team, as well as other within the organization. This is temp to hire, M-F, hours are 7am - 4pm. Looking to start someone as soon as April 30th!
-Schedule Customer pick-ups and replenishment orders
-Oversee/confirm invoice process
-Communicate with operations team regarding scheduling conflicts and allocate orders in MRP system
-Identify, troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues with minimal guidance
-Inputs information into sales orders and related customer information into applicable systems along with investigates problems related to shipment of products, credits, new orders and other customer-related matters.
-Reviews exceptions with supervisor prior to action.
-Works under limited supervision.
-Responsible for working with Customer Service and other supporting functions to ensure all required shipping documentation is obtained prior to shipment
-Performs data analysis into complaints logged and those that physically arrive to the Distribution Center to maintain KPI goals
-Provides support to inventory transactions such as cycle count creation, inventory discrepancies/research
Working hours: M-F 7am-4pm
-Experience in a manufacturing environment
-Ability to quickly and accurately input data into computer software applications (ERP (PRMS), TMS applications, TRANSPLACE web application)
-Proficiency and demonstrated experience in business/freight computer systems functionality
-Ability to identify complex problems and review related information
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to build lasting productive business relationships
-knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation operations, order management, performance metrics, costs, other techniques
