- Position Overview *
We are currently seeking a Resource Neurophysiology Tech for our Neurophysiology department located in Evanston, IL. This is a resource position and is not benefits eligible. Hours will rotate Monday thru Friday, in addition to rotating weekends and on-call. Travel to other Medical Group offices will be required.
The purpose of this job is to perform the various neurophysiological testing provided at the lab. Assist in training of junior technologists. Assist in the day to day operations and acts as supervisor in the absence of manager. Assist in quality improvement initiatives.
- Responsibilities *
In this role, you will:
Perform routine Electroencelphalograms (EEG's)
Perform response tests
Perform EMG/NCV tests
Perform Autonomic Testing
Our ideal candidate will have:
High School Diploma required
Graduate from Neurophysiology Program and/or Bachelor's degree preferred
One year experience as a neurophysiology technologist required with at least half of time spent performing IOM, preferably in a teaching hospital
Three years experience preferred
Competent with medical terminology
Knowledge of EEG's
