Key Responsibilities Include:
Ensure execution of production plan for a pipeline product new to building R10 and NC Manufacturing, all existing R10 products (Pharmaceutical API and nutritional product) and other new products (NPI) while achieving or exceeding quality and compliance requirements and perfect performance targets.
Work with Fermentation Supervisor(s) to coordinate production and projects to achieve production plan and Department goals.
Coordinate iCAN and STOP card programs for Building R10
Interface with Maintenance to ensure priorities are set appropriately and maintenance is performed correctly to support production plan.
Interface with MS&T for production support and completion of key projects undertaken to improve product processes and support NPI development for R10.
Understand plant economics to make decisions based on cost, efficiency and reliability.
Establish and drive key improvement programs and projects in the areas of: Safety, Environmental,
Quality/Compliance (eRFT), Cost, Operational Efficiency, and Throughput. Drive improvements in
processes and equipment to increase efficiency, and quality, improve safety, and reduce cost. Track and drive performance metrics.
Through performance excellence, establish clear expectations for direct reports regarding roles,responsibilities, goals and competencies. Provide regular coaching and feedback to ensure success and development.
Ensure department personnel comply with policies and procedures.
Ensure GMP condition of the building is maintained and it is always audit ready. Support the Department during Customer, Corporate, and Agency audits.
Lead root cause problem solving to investigate events and improve operations.
Support the Section Manager to achieve Department goals.
*This position will flex between 2nd shift and 3rd shift
BS in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, facilities, systems, and equipment.
Manufacturing supervisory experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and communications software packages, knowledge of SAP is a plus.
